When we buy domain names on your behalf, or when you ask us to take over managing your existing domain name, we are required to adhere to terms and conditions by the governing bodies. These terms are there to protect your rights, please read below for more information.
.uk Domain Names
Nominet Terms and Conditions: All .uk domain names are registered with Nominet UK, in your name, and are operated in accordance with their terms and conditions. By registering and renewing a domain name ending in .uk (with some very limited exceptions), you enter into a contract of registration with Nominet UK. The contract includes conditions limiting Nominet UK's liability and relating to Nominet UK's use of your personal information. This contract is just for the domain name and separate to any arrangement you may have with Zenesis Limited for any other services; please note that because it is a separate contract, your contract with Nominet may remain in place after services from Zenesis Limited have ceased. Termination and Transfer Out of Domains: If you want to transfer your domain away from Zenesis Limited at any time, you may do so in writing to email@example.com, including the new IPS TAG that you want the domain transferred to. We will complete the transfer within 5 business days, and there is no charge for this service.
Renewal: while Zenesis Limited is the registrar of your domain and unless otherwise agreed, we will automatically renew your domain name on an annual basis while you have a contract with us; it is the registrants responsibility to make sure their contact details are up to date. Zenesis Limited take no responsibility if your domain renewal fails due to your contact details being incorrect. If you do not wish to renew a domain please make sure you contact us a minimum of 14 days before your domain expires by emailing us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Expiry: if you instruct Zenesis Limited to not renew your domain it will expire automatically, at which point all services we provide will be suspended and you will have up to 30 days (protected period) after to renew the domain name. After 30 days your domain will be suspended and will go into a 60 day grace period which you can still renew your domain name but with an additional redemption fee of £10 + VAT. This must be requested by email before the 80th day after your domain has expired, after 90 days your domain will be cancelled and deleted from the register and made available for resale through a third party registrar. Zenesis Limited cannot guarantee the renewal of a domain name. Note that if your contract with us terminates, we will no longer automatically renew your domain name; also, termination of your contract may cause services for that domain name to be suspended even though the domain name has not yet expired.
Complaints and appeal procedures: If you have any complaints regarding your domain name, please email email@example.com or in writing to Zenesis Limited, The Old Schoolhouse, 75A Jacobs Wells Road, Clifton, Bristol, BS8 1DJ and we will respond to you within a maximum of 5 business days. We aim to resolve all queries quickly and effectively, but in the event of a dispute over a domain name, we will always take Nominet's decision as final and will be entirely guided by their and terms and conditions as well as their advice, whether verbal or written. In any case we aim to resolve any issues within a maximum of 14 business days. Any appeals should be made directly to Nominet. Abuse: If you feel that a domain name managed by Zenesis Limited is being used for abusive, illegal or immoral purposes, or in any way in contravention to the Nominet UK terms and conditions, please send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org or in writing to Zenesis Limited, The Old Schoolhouse, 75A Jacobs Wells Road, Clifton, Bristol, BS8 1DJ and we will respond to you within a maximum of 5 business days.
