.uk Domain Name Registration

Where Zenesis registers domain names on your behalf, all .UK domain names are governed by the Nominet terms and conditions. Note that when you purchase a domain name through us, you are entering into an agreement with Nominet and must abide by their conditions. Zenesis simply acts as an agent on your behalf, managing the domain for you. You can get full details of the Nominet T&Cs from their website at: http://www.nominet.org.uk/nominet-terms.

For the avoidance of doubt, Nominet wish us to make it clear that when we purchase a domain name on your behalf YOU own that domain name and not Zenesis; if you wish to transfer that domain, sell it, etc you can at any time do so and we will not charge you. Similarly, YOU are entering into a legal agreement with Nominet regarding the ownership etc of that domain name, not Zenesis. In practice, this has little or no effect on your normal business in that given that you are law abiding and not infringing anybody's rights (including but not limited to trademarks, etc) then you should have no problem with them or with us. If you have any doubts or questions regarding your rights, you should address them to a solicitor. While we believe Nominet's contracts to be safe and reasonable, we accept no liability for your interpretation of the contract(s) or for their applicability.

Domain Name Purchase/Renewal Charges

Unless you have a contract with us with alternate terms, you may purchase and/or renew domain names through us at a rate of £5+VAT per year; included in this service is DNS management, other services are by arrangement only. However, this figure is normally only adhered to when there is no pre-existing contract with us - we are required by Nominet to state a standard fee and basic service level, but in actual fact we normally make no charge at all for domain name acquisition or management given that we will have agreed a contract (including services and charges).

You may move your domain name to another registrar at any time without cost; you must put your request in writing and allow at least 15 working days notice for the transfer to occur.
